Negotiations with Stena Line for its 2021 pay review have been suspended until September due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Stena Line liaison officers unanimously agreed to review the pay negotiations after the key summer trading months, when it is hoped that with the rollout of the vaccination programme in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, passengers will return to the business.
Nautilus head of industrial Micky Smyth said: 'While the Union recognises the difficulties faced by the company during the pandemic, our members have been working and continue to work on the frontline delivering a first class service during these unprecedented times.'
The pandemic has impacted both freight and passenger carryings on all Stena services on the Irish Sea and the Harwich routes.
