Maritime UK has incorporated as a limited company calling itself The Maritime Industries of the United Kingdom (Maritime UK).
A filing with Companies House on 5 March 2021 confirmed the move.
The limited company launched with 19 officers including Maritime UK chair and BMT CEO Sarah Kenny, and past chairs Harry Theochari (head of maritime at Norton Rose Fulbright) and David Dingle (chairman at Carnival UK). Nautilus general secretary Mark Dickinson was also named as an officer on the listing.
Nautilus is a member of Maritime UK.
The new company will set up a National Council at which key policies, services and transition agreements will be approved and officers appointed.
A full National Council is scheduled for the end of April.
