Focus on a fair society includes environmental and automation goals
As the trade union for maritime professionals, Nautilus is concerned with fairness in wider society.
The Union will campaign to improve the environmental impact of shipping and promote the wider green agenda and 'just transition' (a way of moving from fossil fuels to renewable energy which is fair to workers in the oil and gas sector).
The Union will measure the impact of increased automation on maritime to ensure seafarers and safety are at the heart of developments.
